Are you living overseas and worried about your parents in New Zealand?
Companionship for your parents and peace of mind for you!
Dream Companions will visit as often as you choose and provide regular reporting to reassure or advise you of anything that might need attention or escalation.
It’s hard living away from home when your loved ones start to need assistance. Time is a gift you can give your loved one with a Dream Companion. Your Dream Companion can be there when you can’t be.
Dream Companions provide a range of services to help enable our clients to remain in their own home safely and comfortably, while giving family members peace of mind, knowing that their loved ones are receiving the best possible care.
Peace of mind : Regular feedback from a trustworthy Companion.
We understand its hard to know what’s actually going on when you are living overseas. When you speak to your parents do they always tell you “everything is fine” Dream Companions visit on a regular basis to ensure that your loved ones are happy, safe, eating nutritious meals and their homes are clean and tidy.
Preparing a meal and then sharing the meal together. We know that sharing a meal is one of the best forms of company possible. Visiting the local beach or garden centre. Sharing a cup of tea and a chat. Reminiscing. Creating the time to allow your loved one to do things at their own pace.
We understand that our clients are often interested in an exchange of knowledge and possibly developing new skills. Learning a new language, a new skill or an instrument and sharing stories is all possible with a Dream Companion. It has been proven that learning new skills as we age helps to delay/stave off conditions such as dementia and alzheimers by developing new neural pathways.
Live In and Live Out options available
Retirement village fees can be expensive; having a live-in Companion is not only a more cost effective option for those who need more care and companionship but provide peace of mind knowing someone is around should something happen. This is particularly helpful if your elder is living alone or where one parent is the primary caregiver and needs a break from time to time, to continue their social life and activities while caring for their spouse.
Live-out Companions generally suit older adults who would like Companionship, while also enjoying independent time.
Your loved one’s needs will invariably change over time, that’s why we offer a combination of services to help them live independently for longer, in whatever capacity makes sense.
